Supporting Member (Recurring Billing) $35.00 for each year $35 per year. To assist members in retaining uninterrupted membership, Supporting Memberships are automatically recurring billing. You can opt out of recurring billing during sign up, but if you forget to renew, the system will automatically downgrade your membership and you will no longer have access to Members-Only areas. Supporting Members have instant access to ALL forums, and instant access to our Private Message system, in addition to dramatically increased photo storage, and message space on our site. Membership fees are not refundable, but you may cancel at any time.
Alaska Outdoors University (AOU); Basic Level (Monthly) $39.00 for one month Includes access to all classes and lessons in AlaskaOutdoorsUniversity.com. Note: this membership does not auto-renew, allowing you to renew manually.

Membership Classifications

Free Membership

Free Memberships are processed on an automated basis, during business hours. For that reason, you may experience a lag in your ability to post in our forums until the system processes your registration. If you prefer instant access, subscribe to our Supporting Membership program.

Free members receive the following perks:

Posting access in our Private Message service. As a spam-prevention measure, free members are locked out of the Private Message service until the System can verify active forum participation. This is done by post count and activity on the site. If you prefer instant access, subscribe to our Supporting Membership program.
Posting access in most forums. Some forums are reserved for members of our Supporting Membership program.
Private Message storage: 50 messages.
Personal gallery for photos: 100 images.
Photos in posts: 1MB total.

If you exceed storage limits for PMs or photos, you will be prompted to delete messages or content to make room for your new content. If you prefer increased storage space, (you guessed it)… subscribe to our Supporting Membership program.

Supporting Membership (auto-renew): $35 / annual

To save administrative costs, Supporting Memberships are set to auto-renew each year. You can opt-out of auto-renewal, but if you forget to renew, the system will automatically downgrade you to a Free Membership, with an automatic reduction in benefits. Supporting Memberships contribute to keeping the site online. In return, we offer the following additional enhancements:

Instant posting access to our forums and to the Private Message service.
Posting access to the following additional forums:

The Alaska Outdoors University connects learners with qualified mentors, for the purpose of increasing your safety, enjoyment, and productivity of your Alaska Outdoor adventures. We offer two levels of membership in the AOU:

Alaska Outdoors University (monthly): $65 / month

Alaska Outdoors University (annual): $599 / year

Both memberships include the following perks:

Unlimited access to all AOU tracks, classes, sessions, tests, and support materials, where applicable.

Alaska Hunt Planning (one-time fee): $1550.00

The Alaska Hunt Planning service is a coaching / mentoring service operated by Michael Strahan, the owner of the Alaska Outdoors Supersite. Mike is a retired Registered Guide who has been coaching and mentoring Alaska hunters for nearly 30 years. This service is designed to train hunters in all aspects of Alaska hunt planning. There are no time restrictions, which means that you have unlimited access to Mike throughout the planning process. That also means that you pay the fee one time; you will receive the same level of assistance on additional hunts as you received the first time.
